As an extension of their Eastern Woodlands unit in Social Studies, the 3rd graders in House 44 visited Big Dalton for a cooking class with Chef Jaz. In the Teaching Kitchen, students followed a cornbread recipe inspired by the Eastern Woodland Lenape tribe. They utilized ingredients that the Lenape tribe traditionally used during the winter seasons, including corn flour and dried strawberries.
